材料学院“材子论坛”暨青年学术沙龙系列报告会第249场成功举办

2017年11月9日上午10点，中南大学材料学院青年协办、粉末冶金国家重点实验室联合材料学院研究生会举办的青年学术沙龙第249场顺利进行，本次报告主讲人为澳大利亚昆士兰大学 Prof Andrej Atrens 。材料科学与工程学院刘立斌教授等师生到场参加。
受刘立斌教授邀请，知名镁合金科学家Andrej Atrens 教授来我校做了主题为 “Understanding in vivo corrosion of Mg” 学术报告。众所周知，镁合金的应用非常广泛，为我们的生活带来了很大的便利。但在应用一种合金的同时，我们必须考虑其使用寿命的长短。所以对镁的腐蚀性能的研究显得尤为重要。报告中，Andrej Atrens 教授首先带我们了解了晶体学、杂质效应、第二相、表面膜四个方面对Mg腐蚀的影响。然后，详细介绍了PH值、[Cl-]、[P]对镁的腐蚀速率的影响，在此基础上对体内的Mg腐蚀速率进行了预估并与实际测量值进行比较，进而对氨基酸、蛋白质、维生素的作用进行了分析。最后，参加报告的师生踊跃提问，Andrej Atrens 教授对老师、同学们的问题进行了精彩的解答。学术报告会场学术氛围浓厚，反响热烈。
报告人简历：
Prof Atrens is Head of Division of Materials at The University of Queensland (UQ). Previously, he was Project Leader, BBC Brown Boveri Corporate Research Centre, Switzerland. He was awarded DEng（a higher doctorate）in 1997 by UQ. He has an international reputation in the areas of Mg corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement of steels.
An international academic reputation is evident from invitations for keynote papers at international conferences (23 since 2004), invitations as guest scientist/visiting professor at leading international laboratories (in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France & Sweden, 19 months since 2003）, a ISI H-index of 50 [web of science], many citations（9,780 citations [web of science]）, 16 journal papers with more than 100 citations, 5 journal papers with more than 400 citations, and an excellent publication record in top international journals with more than 230 refereed journal publications. Research areas are: corrosion of magnesium, hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking, corrosion mechanisms, atmospheric corrosion and patination of copper. In last 5 years since 2012 he has published 65 journal publications.
